Double Bar D Ranch

  Double Bar D Ranch is nestled in the foothills of the scenic Adirondack Mountains in the small agricultural town of  Argyle, New York. We are located 20 minutes off I-87 exit 17N. between Saratoga and Lake George, N.Y. We are proud to breed and raise  horses and dogs that are all around prospects. Double Bar D Ranch believes one horse (or dog) can "do it all".

   Double Bar D Ranch strives to produce horses and dogs with great minds, excellent conformation, pedigree, and athleticism that enables them to be competitive @ any level or discipline. Our quarter horses are bred to be "all around" performers with "natural cow sense". They have competed and / or won in  Halter, Showmanship, HUS, W.P., Trail,    Dressage, Jumping, Reining, Barrels, Poles, NBHA World Qualifiers & Placer, NRHA, Ranch Horse,  AQHA World Show Qualifiers, Futurity money earners, American Ranch Association (ARHA) World Champion and Hi Point Honor  Roll .  We will have NCHA competitors starting in 2008.  

  Our Belgians have top pedigrees such as Orndorff's Supreme U2, Produce Acres, RKD Traci, Congolaise , & Dandy Farceur. They can be "farm boys or girls " working on all types of farm equipment, to all "dressed up" for halter & hitch classes. Double Bar D Ranch has bred multiple All American Qualifiers, Grand & Supreme Halter Champions, Mens & Ladies Cart Class, Produce of Dam & Get of Sire class winners. 

  We also breed and raise Australian Shepherds. Our Aussies have some of the best "working" pedigree in the country. They are loyal family dogs with natural herding instincts. Find more info and pictures on the Australian Shepherd page.

Double Bar D Ranch has just started breeding & raising Lowline (mini) Angus. Our Lowline Angus are pasture raised and fed . We have used some of the top producing Lowline Angus Bulls available.. Lowline Angus are a "mini" breed of angus suitable for todays' smaller families & farms with the same quality as "full size" Angus cattle.

   * You will find that 99% of our horses and dogs are "home bred". A fact we are very proud to have accomplished. *
